Job Description

Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction; support the FSM in daily field activities, including technical support and specialist installations. Promote a high level of Safe Working practices. You will need to be an effective communicator, forming strong links to both the Field Service Engineering Team and Back Office functions. 

The individual will be expected to carry out fundamental Field Service Engineering tasks as well as supporting the FSM in a Team Leader capacity as outlined below.

 

Key Result Areas

Responsibilities

Resource Management

-          Review Engineer performance with Field Service Manager monthly.

-          Review jobs per day.

-          Review chargeable hours per Engineer.

-          Review training requirements.

-          Monitor and Co-ordinate monthly PM Schedule/ WIP in conjunction with the Front Desk.

-          Undertake Engineer Audits as required.

Truck Installations

-          Effectively manage specialist trucks installations.

-          Monitor and adhere to outlined budgeted costs.

-          Carry out detailed and timely site surveys prior to installations.

-          Ensure all Method Statements and Risk assessments are up to date and adhered too.

Profit and Loss

-          Monitor costs and revenues with the FSM.

-          Support in achievement of targeted PM’s in the month complete, and achieved within targeted PM times.

-          Maximise First Time Fix by supporting the FSM.

Operational Efficiency

-          Develop a comprehensive understanding of Crown systems.

Safety and Risk Management

-          Lead by example in promoting a safe working environment for all.

Vacancy Details

Hours of   Work:

Monday to   Friday – 08:00am to 16:30pm with 30 minutes lunch.

Company Vehicle:

A company van and fuel card are provided with the option for private use (subject to tax regulations).

Holidays:

25 days holiday.

Person Specification

Essential Skills:

  • Must hold full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proficient in fault-finding and repair.
  • Educated with an ability to achieve a grade C in English and maths at GCSE.
  • Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop practice.
  • Commitment to continuing personal and professional development.
  • Excellent organisational skills, resourceful and solution driven.
  • A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi‐task, prioritising workloads to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Clear communication skills – oral and written.
  • Consultation and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility to cope with diverse needs of the post.
  • Highly motivated and possessing a resilience to work under pressure. 

Desirable Skills: 

  • Engineering qualification.
